Project Description

The Challenge

A Calgary College was undergoing a major renovation and expansion project. A new bookstore was a vital part of the plan, and would serve as a learning resource to students and a revenue generator for the college. The store would not only carry texts books and supplies, but also college branded clothing, mugs, plush mascots, and more. To make the best use of the space long-term, they required as much flexibility as possible while still offering an attractive retail shelving display of merchandise.

The Solution

McLennan & Company provided a plan that included a mix of Newood wood retail shelving fixtures and file shelving. The Newood displays include a large slat wall that can change instantly to hang different sized clothing, backpacks, and more. Additional Newood retail shelving throughout the middle of the store features adjustable shelving, slat wall end panels, and some are mounted on wheels to be moved into new configurations when needed. The file shelving maximized the space for textbook display, while again featuring adjustable shelves and high weight load capacities for any of their needs. The store displays merchandise beautifully and offers the flexibility they needed.
